How to batch convert MS Excel
XLS files to pdf
Products required are:
Batch & Print
Pro 3.xx or above and
Excel Addon and Adobe Acrobat
Distiller

1.
Install Batch & Print Pro and the Excel Addon
2. In Batch &
Print Pro add a xls file to the list and right mouse on it and select "addon
setup..." in that setup screen check the Print to FILE:
checkbox and set the folder to use as e.g. c:\test\
3. Make sure you are using a Postscript printer driver otherwise
the output won't be postscript, use any printer driver as long as it's
postscript.
So what happens now is that when you print any file to that printer it
creates a file, this file is a postscript file (.ps) that adobe
distiller can convert to pdf.
4. print, now to use the settings for next time and every xls file:-
a. Single left click the file in the list to highlight it
b. Click Addon menu-->Copy Addon parameters to clipboard
c. Go into options menu-->Default Addon Parameters
d. Paste the parameters into the addon.
5. Now you have your ps files you can convert those to PDF's with
Adobe Distiller by setting the folder watch option in Adobe Distiller.
(you may have to move the .ps files to the In folder depending on
configuration)
