How to print PDF's without Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
Products required are: Batch & Print Pro 2

All PDF files added to the list will be converted to postscript and sent to your printer as postscript files.

1. Run Batch & Print Pro 2
2. go into options menu-->default processing parameters and enter "-c1|-l2|-C0|-s" in the PDF Processing edit box. (without the quotes)
3. print your pdf files by adding them to the list or monitor for them.

NOTE: Postscrpt printer driver is required for your postscript printer.


How to add page numbers or other information like filenames to pdf files before printing, in real-time.
Products required are: Batch & Print Pro 2 and PDF Text Stamp

1. Extract winpdftextstamp.zip to c:\ folder for demo purposes.

Start Batch & Print Pro 2
3.
Add a .pdf to the main file list, right mouse on it and select Processing Setup...
4. Enab
le command line scripting and in the script edit box enter for filename text:
"C:\winpdftextstamp\pdftextstamp.exe" -i"[IN]" -o"[OUT]" -nopg -sep "" -prefix "[FILENAME]"
for page numbering bottom left: "C:\winpdftextstamp\pdftextstamp.exe" -i"[IN]" -o"[OUT]"

The [OUT] is substituted by Batch & Print Pro temporary file in the Temp folder, the [IN] is substituted with the Batch & Print Pro input file in the file list. (dummy pdf file)

5. to make it use those settings as default for every pdf go into options menu-->Default Processing Addon Options and in the PDF Processing add: -c0|-l2|-C1|-s"C:\winpdftextstamp\pdftextstamp.exe" -i"[IN]" -o"[OUT]" -nopg -sep "" -prefix "[FILENAME]"

How to print a pdf file in groups of n pages for finishing e.g. 5 pages at a time.
Products required are: PDF Print Control 1.06  Full Acrobat 5,6 or 7 required.

Say for example you want to staple every five pages of a PDF document


1. Start Acrobat & PDF Print Control
2. Stamp page 1 with stamp1, then stamp page 6 with stamp2 with same settings & your finishing settings on the printer.
3. Click print control setup (S) button.
4. Click Replicate button and enter start: 1 end: 6 and click OK.
This will replicate the 1-6 pages settings to 11-16, 21-26 etc i.e. every 5 pages.
5. Click the Print Control Print button.

How to add blank pages onto odd number pdf's.
Products required are: PDF U Append Desktop Edition 1.10 or PDF U Append Batch 1.05  Full Acrobat 4,5,6 or 7 required.

You can append on the end of every pdf appended into one or append a pdf onto the end of the final appended pdf output.

1. Start PDF U Append Desktop Edition or PDF U Append Batch
2. Click Options Menu-->Setup
3. In the 'If final append is odd pages add file:' browse for a blank 1 page pdf file (you create this beforehand)
4. Add your files to the list and click append, if final pdf is odd number then the extra pdf file will be appended.

How to round up total pages on pdf's to a divisible amount e.g. divisible by 4.
Products required are: Rapid PDF Count 1.11 and PDF U Append Desktop Edition 1.10 or PDF U Append Batch 1.05  Full Acrobat 4,5,6 or 7 required.

For example: a 3 page doc requires 1 page extra to make up to 4 pages, a 2 page doc required 2 pages extra to make up to 4 pages, a 1 page doc required 3 pages extra to make up to 4 pages.

NOTE: First create blank pdf files for 1,2 & 3 pages at the required size. e.g. c:\blank1.pdf

1. Start Rapid PDF Count and add the pdf files to the list and click Count files in list.
2.
Click Sort menu-->Sort by Division Remainder (Page Count / n)
3. Click Action menu-->Select by division Remainder and in the remainder enter 1 and click OK
4. The files with remainder 1 (set above) will be highlighted, right mouse on those and select Run/Create/Save script on files selected.
5. in the middle box enter:
[FILENAME]; all; 4; Ready.; ; c:\output\[FILETITLE]; Y; Y; Y; N \r\nC:\blank1.pdf; all; 4; Ready.; ; c:\output\[FILETITLE]; Y; N; Y; N
(make sure a space is on the end of the last N)
6. click create and save as mylist1.cpp
Repeat steps 3 to 6 and change remainder to 2 then 3, and in point 5 change the c:\blank1.pdf to c:\blank2.pdf and c:\blank3.pdf, these files make up the difference on the source pdf files to make them divisible. e.g. 3 page doc is remainder 1 requires 1 page to make up to 4.
7. Start PDF U Append Desktop Edition or PDF U Append Batch
8. Click File menu-->Load Batch and load mylist1.cpp
9. click Append Files button, this will append the extra pdf on to the end of each pdf.
Repeat steps 8 & 9 with other lists.

How to batch rename pdf documents using document properties.
Products required are: PDF Summary Maker 1.07

For example rename a batch list of pdf files to the Author name

1. Run pdf summary maker and add the pdf files to the list
2. Select Reports menu-->Generate CSV Report... And select filename and the field you want to change to, e.g. Author
3. Save as csv and open in excel, in the 1st column add text 'rename' before column 2 then save as .txt file to a DOS rename.bat file.
4. Run the rename.bat file to rename the files.
